Two Years of Wedded Bliss

September 12, 2008

It’s hard to believe that it has already been two years since one of the happiest days of my life. To celebrate, we headed to Barcelona, Spain. We arrived on a Friday afternoon. After taking several wrong turns, we finally found our apartment rental which was just off the main street, La Ramblas. We spent the day mostly just walking up and down La Rambla. We visited the Christopher Columbus status and sat at the marina for a bit before having a light dinner of tapas and heading to bed.

On Saturday, we walked through the Barri Gotic, The Gothic Quarter. We had a nice lunch next to a hoof.

In the afternoon, we went to Park Ciutadella which has this museum next to it.

Dinner was once again several different tapas in multiple tapas bars.

On Sunday, we went to the famous Familia Sagrada where we spent a good portion of the day.

At night we walked along the beach and had dinner at an excellent seafood restaurant.

On Monday, we took a day trip to Sitges to hang out at the beach.

Tuesday morning, we went to the Picasso Museum which I loved! Afterward, we went to Park Guell. It was very nice and interesting but also very crowded. It was another great anniversary and we both LOVE Barcelona!

Your pictures are gorgeous. It makes me really want to get back there – I am glad you enjoyed it as much as we did. Sagrada Familia is seriously breathtaking.
